The Magic of the Eclipse

July 29th from 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Get kids ready for this rare and special event amidst the fun of magic, comedy, and puppetry.  Children will learn all about eclipses—the different types, how often they come, and safety tips for viewing them.

The Science of the Eclipse
August 14th from 6:30 - 7:30 pm
SIUE professor, Tom Foster will talk about the science behind a Solar Eclipse.  Monday, August 21, will see the first total eclipse in our region since 1806.

A Plethora of Pens writing group meet on the first Monday of the month from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room. This writing group encourages each other’s creativity with plot scenarios and character development, and gives support to one another’s work.
