Information will be given about proper posture while sitting at a desk, suggested stretches will be demonstrated, recommended length of time to sit/ stand will be discussed, as well as other healthy practices in the workplace.
45 minute presentation with a 15 minute Q&A.
FAMILIES IN NATURE CLUB MEETUP
Meet up with Families In Nature in the Community Room and join them for an afternoon of walking, discovery, nature, and a time of reading with a snack in the Community Room afterward. The snack you bring may be left in the Community Room while you are exploring on & off the bike trails. Families In Nature is a local branch of the world-wide Children & Nature Network founded by Richard Louv. Using Louv’s book Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder, these families believe that connecting with nature is an imperative.
