Project: Phone Cozy. Option A/B
(Option B requires a bit more work)
The Cozy in the pictures, measures when closed, 4X7.5 inches. (a slightly bigger size can be chosen at the beginning of the first class)
Approximate time required: 2 Classes of 1h and 30 min. (It may be required to knit a little bit in between classes, depending on individual speed and beginning level and if familiar or not with the needle/yarn handling).
Materials:
– One pair of knitting needles no.7
– 1 skein of Cotton yarn for above needle size (Sample piece made with: Peaches & Creme(brand) Stripey(type). Can be purchased through Walmart, Amazon, etsy, ebay.
– Tapestry needle suitable for knitting projects (metal or plastic)
– Measuring tape (a ruler would work fine too)
– Suggested-one crochet hook approximate size H-8, or similar size. The hook is useful to help correct mistakes, like when you have a dropped stitch to pick up.
– Optional, only for finished project Option B: one button of your choice, diameter approx. 1 inch (make sure the tapestry needle you one can fit into button holes, in this case metal needles are better)

Measuring a swatch
Cast on
Knit (garter stitch)
Pick up dropped stitches
Bind off
Weave in ends
Sewing seems in knitting projects

Sing songs and interact with us during storytimes on Zoom! Kids can follow along while we screen share the books. We love the crisp view of the picture book pages and engaging with you during the program. We will be posting these storytimes to Facebook, we recommend muting your video feed if you don’t want the video of your family showing up on our Facebook page.

Join Miss Aimee and Miss Becky as we read from chapters in “Great Upending” by Beth Kephart! We would love for you to read aloud from some pages, or simply enjoy listening to others read to you. We will spend about 45 minutes reading and another 10 minutes discussing the book. “The Great Upending” is available on Hoopla, Cloud Library, and OverDrive. Print copies will be available to pick up starting in January.

Join us one Saturday a month on our Facebook or YouTube page for virtual craft time! Reserve a bag of craft supplies to pick up from the library or use items you have at home. Follow along with the tutorial so we can create something wonderful together!

Registration is required to reserve your craft bags. Craft bags that aren’t picked up by the end of the day on Saturday will be put out for other families on Monday.
A social group for LGBTQIA+ teens and their allies to come and be themselves. Get support and friendship from like-minded tens. Some weeks we will play games, and other weeks we will make crafts. Activities will be decided in previous meetings.
